Tea, P31 Style!

My kitchen feels warm and cozy on a cold winter day, even more so because I am enjoying  a steaming cup of TeaLife’s Lemongrass Ginger!

Tea is not mentioned in the Bible because it was not a common drink in the Holy Land 3000 years ago. Still, I can picture the Proverbs 31 Woman gathering plants from the local fields and infusing them into medicines and soothing drinks for her family.

She was definitely ahead of her time! Today, herbal teas are growing in popularity, and their health benefits are the main reason!

In my opinion, TeaLife Canada    is the best place to get quality loose leaf teas, and their Herbal and Wellness collections are exquisite!

Imagine sitting inside on a cold winter day, sipping Dandelion Root tea. It’s so delicious that you forget its attributes: stimulates appetite, promotes digestion, diuretic, antioxidant, removes toxins, aids liver function, slows growth of cancer, regulates blood sugar and insulin levels, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, reduces inflammation, and boosts the immune system. Impressive!

Or how about Lemongrass Ginger? Separately, these are powerful immune system boosters, but combined they are anti-inflamatory, relieve cold symptoms, lower cholesterol, improve circulation, relieve stress, and stimulate appetite!

The best part? Herbal teas do not come from the camellia sinensis plant, so they contain no caffeine — perhaps the reason chamomile is a bedtime favourite!
